This adapter converts an HDMI® male connector on your existing cable to a DVI male connector.

If you have a male connector on your HDMI® cable, you can plug it into the female HDMI® connector on this adapter and cable will then have a male DVI connector on the end.

This adapter can be used to connect HDMI® cables to DVI monitors, or HDMI® cables to older televisions that have DVI inputs.
