The new IBM 2U LTO Generation 2 Tape Autoloader 3623 Model 2LX offers high capacity, performance, and technology designed for the midrange xSeries environment. This model incorporate a single Linear Tape-Open (LTO) IBM Generation 2 Drive, which more than doubles tape drive performance over the previous generation LTO Generation 1 Tape Drives, up to 35 MB/sec native data transfer rate (70 MB/sec with 2:1 compression).
