This autoloader option offers high capacity, performance and technology designed for the midrange IBM eServer xSeries environment. It incorporates a Super Digital Linear Tape (SDLT320) tape drive and an 8- cartridge robotic carousel to provide unattended native backup capacities and speeds of up to 1.28TB at a sizzling 16MBps. A customer can expect up to 2.56TB capacity and 32MBps using the autoloaders onboard hardware data compression. This option can be attached to supported xSeries server configurations that include a supported operating system, backup application software (if applicable), rack and SCSI host adapter.
