This 1U rack-mount tape enclosure option provides a cost-effective solution for adding external tape drives to IBM's 1U, 2U and 3U rack-optimized IBM eServer xSeries servers. It supports one or two half-high tape drives, allowing each of these tape drives to be independently attached to a supported xSeries server, or both to be daisy chained to a single server. This NetBAY 1U Tape Enclosure joins the 0034B0X NetBAY 4U Tape Enclosure to provide a family of cost-effective rack-mount tape enclosures for xSeries servers. This tape enclosure is a reliable product that provides customer flexibility to meet growing backup storage requirements in a rack configuration. It can support Ultra320, Ultra160 or Ultra80 half-high tape drives.
