The Digi PC/X is a non-intelligent multichannel serial communication board . It is compatible with Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) bus systems.
The PC/X is available in four-port (Digi PC/4) configuration. Each port is an industry standard RS-232 asynchronous serial port with full modem control and hardware handshaking. Each channel is equipped with its own 16450 UART. A 16550 UART option, including FIFO buffers, is also available. Each channel offers independently selectable data transfer rates ranging from 50 bps to 56 Kbps, as well as independent definable character widths, stop-bits and parity.
