The ClassicBoard multiport serial adapter provides an array of ISA based options to easily meet your serial expansion needs. The four port RS-232 model is available with a choice of DB-25, DB-9 or RJ-45 connectors.
The ClassicBoard multiport serial adapter is best suited for applications where the CPU is able to devote some of its resources to handling computations or to real time applications that require short latency intervals. This solution is ideal for connecting cash registers, print receipt devices, scanners and other peripheral devices in retail POS systems.
