The switch has a dual-direction fan module that comprises two fans. The orientation of the fan module sets the direction of the air flow through the switch-either air intake at the ports or air exhaust at the ports. The switch air flow direction should match the air flow direction of other devices in the same rack. To change the air flow direction, remove the fan module, rotate it 180 degrees, and re-insert it.

The fan module is hot-swappable.
