ASUS goes beyond reference requirements by implementing the innovative DirectCU II thermal design. It consists of dual 80mm dust proof fans specially selected for quiet operation, copper heatpipes that contact the GPU directly, and an aluminum heatsink for better heat dissipation. The HD 7790 DirectCU II runs up to 20% lower operating temperatures than typical reference designs helping to ensure reliaiblity and stability under load.
