The 100TX transceiver is a 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet Media Independent Interface (MII) to UTP transceiver. The 100TX, which is compliant with the IEEE 802.3u standard, features one UTP port and one direct connect MII 40-pin port. The 100TX auto-senses either half- or fullduplex mode, 10 or 100 Mbps mode, and will adjust accordingly. In addition, the 100TX provides a shielded connector to allow the use of shielded UTP cabling to further reduce EMI and ESD issues.
