The HP 16x DVD+/-RW Drive supports double-layer DVD+R DL media that can hold up to 8.5GB. Double-layer DVD+R discs are written at 2.4x maximum speed. This drive also supports recording digital video and archiving data with write to rated DVD+R at 16x, DVD+RW at 4x, DVD-R at 8x, DVD-RW at 4x, CD-R at 40x and CD-RW media at 24x. A single-layer DVD+R/+RW disc holds up to 4.7GB of information.
