AIT-5 is Sony's latest addition to the AIT family offering 400GB (uncompressed) capacity per tape. AIT-5 drives are backwards read/write compatible to three previous formats AIT-3, AIT-3Ex, and AIT-4. AIT-5 drives use an Ultra160 SCSI interface and is shipped as bare drives (no accessories).
