The Data Domain ES20 Hard Drive Enclosure expands the usable storage for the Data Domain Appliance Series and Data Domain DDX Array Series, enabling months of nearline data retention. The ES20 and Data Domain high-speed inline reduplication technology offer an average 20x data reduction, and Data Domain systems can support capacities up to 1.25 PB of logical storage per system for a typical enterprise data set and backup policy. The extended disk-based retention enables more cost-efficient, high-speed backups and more reliable recoveries and longer term data retention.
